Hey Buckets,
My thoughts on how you should try attacking #12 are below.
So the first thing I notice is that they're forcing you to come from the bottom (South) if you want to go with an air raid. Attacking from the top (North), right (East) or left (West) means that one Air Defense will be directly behind the Town Hall, which is the bane of all Dragon attacks. I've put a screenshot of the ranges for the Air Defense and Air Sweeper below.
Notice that the Air Sweeper doesn't cover the South Air Defense, just the East and West ones, so there's little resistance getting to it. Also notice that the Army Camps on the East and West side are clear of any air-targeting defenses, so we can use this to make a funnel for the Dragons to attack from.
The image above shows where I'd place the Dragons at the beginning, where Dragons at positions with a 1 will be deployed first, then when their targets are destroyed you deploy the rest of the Dragons in the spots with a 2. One near each of the side Army Camps to get a minor funnel going, and one at the top to prevent Dragons from straying. There is a Builder Hut out of shot at the bottom where the Dragon should be launched from, but I put a mark as far to the bottom of the picture as I could. The rest of the Dragons (7) are along the collectors, with the extra on the East side to help take care of CC troops. The goal is to have the Dragons move straight inward (all moving North). The CC troops should be Balloons, which will target the Cannon, Wizard Tower, and hopefully middle Air Defense, providing even more funneling power. We're taking advantage of the fact that the Air Sweeper won't push the Balloons away as they head for the middle Air Defense.
Using 3 Rage spells, push for the middle of the base and get as many Dragons in the center as possible. The top tip of the Rage spell should hit the center of the East and West Air defenses, and should completely overlap the Southern one without touching the Cannon or Alter. The Balloons should be able to take out the middle Air Defense while Raged as long as the Archer Towers don't target them. I don't think they will, since they'll have at least 3 Dragons within range. After all three Air Defenses are gone, and provided you have at least 4 Dragons left, should be a 3 star.
